The result is one of multiple successes achieved in the league table where Aston placed 45th overall – a rise of four places from last year.

Last year Aston was awarded the coveted TEF Gold after finding students from all background ‘consistently achieve outstanding outcomes’ at Aston, with very high proportions of students going to highly skilled employment or further study.
A study by The Economist also placed Aston higher than Oxford and Cambridge when it comes to boosting the earnings of its graduates. The analysis found Aston graduates earned on average nearly £3,000 more than predicted five years after graduation.
To calculate student satisfaction scores, the Guide pulls data from the most recent National Student Survey (NSS). The NSS asks questions about a variety of aspects of their teaching to measure quality from the student’s point of view.
