The University received an overall satisfaction score of 84.15%, placing Aston above the sector average for the sixth consecutive year and ahead of many institutions.
Aston has built on its reputation for outstanding teaching and delivering great outcomes for graduates, achieving a Gold ranking in the government-led Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and being ranked 2nd in the UK for boosting graduate salaries by The Economist.
A number of courses from all of our academic Schools performed especially strongly. Our highest scoring courses for ‘overall satisfaction’ are as follows:
Out of the five Schools, triple-accredited Aston Business School achieved the highest rating with an overall satisfaction score of 89.86%.
The School of Engineering and Applied Science made an impressive improvement this year, attaining a score of 81.05%, a rise of 3.42% on the previous year. This is a result of real focus on enhancing student experience, including running the schools’ first ever student-organised undergraduate conference exploring what’s next in engineering and applied science and enhancing their graduate employability prospects.

The NSS seeks feedback from final year undergraduate students across the country, is used to compile league tables, and helps universities to measure the quality of the student experience they are delivering.
