Aston, one of the UK’s leading universities for business and the professions, will hold its first ever Inside Aston event on Wednesday 28 February – an afternoon of talks tailored to specific business sectors from the university's top researchers.
Speakers will break down their work into layman’s terms, emphasise its practical applications, and explain how the university can help integrate this knowledge into their business.
The first event, tailored for the manufacturing sector, will include the following presentations:
Professor Paul Maropoulos, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange at Aston University, said: “At Aston we focus on high quality, exploitable research that has the potential to have an impact on the real world around us. We carry out research that is applicable to business and industry and like to consider our doors always open. The planned series of Inside Aston events is just one of the ways in which we engage with businesses in our community.”
A buffet lunch will be provided, as well as drinks and an opportunity for networking.
