The swimming pool, sauna and steam room will reopen on Thursday 11 April 2024.
Our swimming pool originally opened in 1902, becoming one of the oldest operating pools in Britain. Now, our unique Edwardian pool, previously Woodcock Street Baths is home to Sport Aston. The pool, sauna and steam rooms are open to Aston Students, staff and the public. To use these facilities, you can buy a membership or pay per session.
Advanced Booking
We advise you to book your swim in advance to secure your space but you are welcome to come in and book at reception as well. You can book using the Sport Aston app or by calling us on 0121 204 4623.

Our Pool timetable changes each term. Please check back here for the latest timetable.
Pool
- Each swimming session below has 3 lanes, fast, medium and slow.
- Children can swim between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm on weekdays (except in Women's only session) and any time on Saturdays and Sundays subject to the discretion of the lifeguard on duty that it is safe to do so.
- Children aged between 11 and 16 may swim unaccompanied between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm on weekdays and any time on Saturdays and Sundays subject to the discretion of the lifeguard on duty that it is safe to do so.
- Children under 11 must have an adult with them to swim.
- Adults bringing children aged 5 to 11 can bring two children per adult swimmer.
- Adults bringing children under 5 can bring one child per adult swimmer.
- Sessions must be booked on the Sport Aston app or at reception.
Women's Only Swimming
- During the women's only swim on Mondays only over 16s will be allowed entry.
- Sessions must be booked on the Sport Aston app or at reception.

Bookings
The sauna and steam rooms are open to members or you can pay per visit. We recommend you book your session in advance to ensure your space.
Monday - Friday
* Monday 14:00-14:45 and 14:45-15:30 are Women's Only Sauna & Steam sessions. On Thursdays, the sauna and steam rooms are not available between 14:00 and 16:00.
