Course summary

Upon completion, further specialist study can be acquired through progression to the BSc Logistics and Operations Management programme, delivered on a blended distance learning basis.

Course Outline & Key Facts

This course will develop an understanding of operational and managerial processes involved. This includes procurement movement, storage, distribution and use of resources throughout the supply chain. You will develop the specific professional and academic skills required by logistic companies, and gain generic transferable skills which will enable you to make a valuable and long-term contribution to the industry.

Duration: 2 years

Location: Aston University

Attendance at all eight, 5-day teaching weeks is compulsory. Teaching takes place from Monday - Friday over a total of 8 weeks.

Learning, Teaching & Assessment

This programme is assessed by assignments, formal lectures, tutorial classes, work-based projects and examinations.

Progression

In order to support career progression and open up new opportunities at managerial level, the part time BSc Logistics and Operations Management course has been developed on a work based blended distance learning basis. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Degree in Logistics have the opportunity to progress onto this programme.

Course Director

Mr Constant Iannacci

Constant Iannacci is currently Programme Director of the Foundation Degree in Logistics and the BSc Logistics and Operations Management. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport since 2001. He has research interests in International Shipping and International Trade.
