A course that was joint honours combined two areas that I enjoyed at A-Level. Integrated placement year.

Amazingly, lecturers and all other staff could not have been more helpful in my journey.
What was the highlight of your time at Aston?
Living independently with mates.
How do you feel your placement prepared you for your future career?
Confidence development, be able to manage my time both inside and outside of work more effectively. Communicate with a variety of people under different conditions. Present myself as a leader, driver and experienced individual.
What was the highlight of your placement experience?
Seeing myself develop both personally and professionally.
What was the best thing about being a student in Birmingham?
Birmingham is a thriving city, there is so much to do, and places to see. The culture here is so diverse, and the music scene is what really brought this city to life for me.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of studying at Aston?
Apply yourself for four years, what you will achieve will be worth a lifetime.
What would be your top recommendation to new students on what to do or see in Birmingham?
Go to Digbeth!
If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice as a first year student, what woould it be?
Be confident in yourself and you will be able to accomplish whatever you want.
