Name and course:

Hasinah Mohammed,  BEng Biomedical Engineering.

Graduate job:

Product design, Aston University.

Why did you choose to study at Aston?

One of few universities in the UK that offer an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering.

How did the quality of teaching and student support enhance your time at Aston?

It definitely contributed greatly to the outcome of my degree, and made the whole experience a lot easier.

What was the highlight of your time at Aston?

The people and the environment.

How did you find the Aston campus experience?

I didn't live on campus but it seemed like a nice community to be a part of when visiting friends. A small campus means that it’s very easy to interact with others.

What was the best thing about being a student in Birmingham?

There are a lot of things to see and do in the city, but also it is an ideal location to travel up and down the country - with the added bonus that it’s cheaper and less busy than London.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of studying at Aston?

Go for it!

What would be your top recommendation to new students on what to do or see in Birmingham?

Don't just stick to the city centre, there are a lot of great places in the city.

If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice as a first year student, what would it be?

Spend more time on campus getting to know people. Don't just leave straight after lectures.
