The Sustainable Energy and Transport (SET) research group focuses on creative answers to address major energy and environmental R&D challenges, from the fundamental sciences to new clean technologies to integrated energy and transport systems. The research group aims to collaborate with industries and state agencies through research, development, and deployment of renewable energy and efficient energy technologies.

Vision

Our mission is to provide cutting-edge research and innovation to meet the future needs of society regarding reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable energy and transport systems based on renewable sources and integrated systems.

Research focus

Set is focused in two main research areas:

  • Sustainable energy for power generation, heating and cooling, mainly using renewable and waste sources
  • Sustainable transport using zero-emission and low-carbon technologies
