Pinewood Technologies has cemented their relationship with Aston University by sponsoring the 2012-13 undergraduate module, Business Marketing and Relationship Management.
Pinewood, a Management Systems software company based in Solihull has extensive experience in developing Management Systems for car dealerships.
As part of the module, second year students were required to create a marketing plan proposal for an overseas company entering the UK. Steve Meadows, a Director at Pinewood and an alumnus of Aston, and Marketing Executive Chris Caines, also an alumnus of Aston were involved in assessing the student coursework presentations.
Pinewood’s sponsorship offered a winning prize of £250 in Amazon vouchers to the coursework group with the highest mark consisting of Josh Evans (pictured), Samuel Papworth, Ieva Cernauskaite, Jie Deng and Xueyan Jiang.
Josh Evans was also given the opportunity for a one-year placement opportunity within the company.
Steve Meadows said; “We are committed to developing talent and recognise the importance of students gaining practical experience. By offering a placement to students it gives them the right start to a successful career.”
