Aston Business School has this week launched a Chinese language mini site for potential students.

The website offers Chinese nationality potential students and applicants the ability to explore the School’s programmes and key information in their native language.

Written entirely in Mandarin, the site translates all undergraduate and postgraduate programme content, as well as key information including rankings and accreditation, fees and finance, accommodation, student and campus life.

The Business School has longstanding recruitment and alumni ties with China and it is the School’s top international market across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We have received large numbers of applications from Chinese students each year for several years.

Last year, the School launched Mandarin language Weibo and WeChat accounts for Chinese applicants. Weibo recently reached 1,000 followers and the WeChat account has over 800 followers.

Simon Finley, Associate Dean, Programme Quality, said:

"We are delighted to be able to add to the service we offer interested students from China with this Mandarin language website. With the difficulties Chinese students face in accessing externally hosted sites, we anticipate this site, which is hosted in China, will prove a useful tool not only for students, but also for parents keen to assist applicants in the research process."
