The table features the best full-time finance programmes for students with little or no prior experience of the financial industry. It is based on a survey of business schools and graduates, analysing salary growth, seniority and achievements in the three years since graduating.
The University ranked particularly high for career progress, achieving 8th place out of the 65 institutions that made the final table. This is calculated according to changes in the level of seniority and the size of company alumni are working for.
Programmes must meet strict criteria to be eligible. They must be full-time, cohort-based and have a minimum of 30 graduates each year. Finally, the schools must be accredited by either AACSB or Equis.
The flagship programme to represent this ranking is Aston Business School’s MSc Investment Analysis. The programme is designed to give students the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career in the financial sector, banking or investment management.
Graduates are working across the financial, insurance and corporate sectors, including at brands such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deutsche Bank and Ernst & Young.
